The Michigan Sonographers' Society has been in existence since 1975 and is currently the largest and most active state society in the nation. The goals of the society are to provide a means of continuing education for its members, to update sonographers, sonologists and commercial representatives in the state of the art and to unite these individuals in the achievement of professional growth. All individuals participating in the field of ultrasound will enjoy the privileges listed below:
- Accreditation for MSS monthly meetings and seminars
- The right to vote on MSS monthly business and education
- The right to hold office
- A monthly postcard
- A discount on the annual MSS Spring Symposium
Those individuals in the commercial aspect of ultrasound are considered associate members and are exempt from the right to hold office.
Accreditation
SDMS credits will be awarded for monthly meetings and seminars to
MEMBERS of the MSS according to the following:
- Continuing education credits as required by the ARDMS
- Seminars only: SDMS credits
- AOA Category 11 credits

Dear MSS Members,
CME certificates for educational activities will be emailed to you directly from the SDMS. To receive your CME credits, it will be mandatory to inform the MSS Membership chairpersons of your current email address. Certificates will not be available at the conclusion of CME activities. You will receive an email from the SDMS with your CME certificate within 30 days of the educational activity.
