It is hard to believe that this MSS year has come to an end. The symposium ended the year with a bang. The attendance was phenomenal. I know times are tough so I want to personally thank each of you for your continued support of the Michigan Sonographers’ Society. The speakers at the symposium have commented on what a great organization this is and how much they enjoyed speaking to our members. Here is an exact quote from an email I received from Dr. Pozniak after the symposium: “Thank you very much for inviting me to participate in your annual meeting of the Michigan Sonographers’ Society. I always enjoy speaking to your group; I honestly believe the level of ultrasound practiced in Michigan is at a higher level than anywhere else in the country.” All of you should be proud to be a sonographer, and especially a sonographer in Michigan. We are in the process of going through the evaluations. We will have responses from the board on the symposium section of the website shortly.
I want to thank the board for all their hard work during not just the symposium, but all year round. I could not run this organization without all of you.
All of you will receive a brochure prior to September to renew your memberships. Please pass the information along to others who have not yet become a member of the MSS. Membership application will also be available on the website; www.mss1.org. I am excited to say I will continue as president for 2010-2011. It is an honor and privilege to be part of such a great organization. Enjoy your summer and see you in September!
